Every month of March, Philippines celebrates National Women’s Day with activities and initiatives. This year theme is "WE for Gender Equality and an Inclusive Society" emphasize the importance of an action in achieving gender equality and fostering a inclusive society. It highlights that gender equality is that cannot be achieved by a single individual or group alone, but rather requires the involvement of everyone in society.
“We” represents both women and everyone highlighting the collective responsibility for achieving gender equality. This responsibility requires the involvement of all sectors. Also stands for Women Empowerment, a goal that can be achieved when allowing everyone work together to ensure equal opportunities and have equal rights. “Gender Equality” is a fundamental goal in advancing women’s rights. This also serves as call of action for both women and everyone to advocate and promote equality and inclusivity. “Inclusive Society” it gives everyone regardless of their gender identity, abilities, status or background. It's a place where everyone has equal rights and responsibilities and actively participates.
In conclusion, the importance of collective action in the achieving of gender equality and inclusivity. By empowering women and ensuring equal rights for all, we move closer to building a truly inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their gender identity, background or status. This National Women’s Day serves as a powerful call to action for all of us to work together toward a more equitable world.
