Every October, we celebrate the month of indigenous peoples and the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act(IPRA) Commemoration. This year, we celebrates Indigenous Peoples Month and the 27th year of IPRA with the theme “Mga Katutubo at Katutubong Dunong: Pahalagahan, Pangalagaan at Parangalana.” (Valuing, Nurturing, and Honoring Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Knowledge). Recognizing and celebrating the rich cultures and advocating of indigenous rights. To diverse cultures and traditions of indigenous peoples.
This serves for promoting and protecting the rights and culture of indigenous peoples. This month celebration, empowering the importance of respecting and preserving the culture and traditions of indigenous communities. By providing the value of indigenous knowledge, their cultural heritage, advocate indigenous rights and understanding of indigenous peoples to have a equitable rights and nation for all the ethnic groups in Philippines.
National Indigenous Peoples Month in the Philippines was the rights and cultural heritage of Indigenous communities. This annual celebration, recognizing the importance of preserving Indigenous knowledge and traditions. Moreover , the month of a more equitable society that values and respects the diverse contributions of all ethnic groups.
